I could not have hoped for a better place. It was very plain and not
fancy, but the owner and his wife helped me very much as my baggage was lost in transit from San Francisco and they took me to airport to get baggage 4 days later when it arived. Also, there were many students near the Unversity who spoke English and were most helpful-using cell phones to make contacts, give directions and sugest eating places. Refrig and hot plate were ok for coffe, tea and soups with a a store across the street. Not great beds, but ok. I would recommend to others as inexpensive and functional.

This one-bedroom completely furnished apartment is an older apartment with basic furnishing suitable for less demanding travelers. The apartment is situated on the ground floor of a residential building on Zahradnicka street in wider city center, just some 10 minutes to the Old Town.

The apartment is equipped with fridge, cooking facilities and iron. There is a double bed in the bedroom.

Apartment Zahradnicka is suitable for up to four persons.

Breakfast is not included in the price listed.

From Airport take bus no. 61, get off at Main train station terminus. Take tram no. 2, get off at Legionarska street. Walk back by the tram tracks for about 100 meters and cross the Square of Martin Benka (Nam. Martina Benku) to the Palace of Justice (large building). Continue for another 20 meters. Apartment Zahradnicka 4 is on your left. (45 minutes)

The apartment was more for backpackers and not to West European standards, so I would not recommend it to others.
