The rooms were clean and the service very good. The owner and his family were very helpful. We will surely stay there another time if we should be so lucky to visit Bratislava another time. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Norma from USA wrote on 13.06.2007: It is a spacious 1 bedroom apt. with almost all the amenities. The couple that runs the little store downstairs doesn't speak much English, but are very willing to get help to foster communication. A/C did not work, but wasn't a big problem. Since it is located right on a tram line, it can be noisy. It's a little bit outside downtown, but there are several options for getting to the apt. once you know your way around Bratislava a bit. Good place for folks who don't need a 5 star hotel but do want their own bathroom and something a little more upscale than a hostel. Price was right. Really good if you want to do your own cooking. Apartment was as described and expected. It's suitable to young people, who want freedom during stay, to people who wants to make some dishes as they want to and when they want to, to every travellers who want to feel like home. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Anna from Netherlands wrote on 23.05.2007: It was as described and expected. Very nice and clean, suitable for travelers who do not mind to care for breakfast on their own and use public transport (or walk) to visit the center, quite luxurious apartment, unbelievable for that low price. Only possible disadvantage is that it is located at the side of the main road, so people who are sensitive to noise might have problems to sleep. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Nathan from UK wrote on 01.05.2007: Apartment Lanfranconi was absolutely perfect. The apartment was close to the city as described, it was clean, and modern and its owner collected us from the airport and made the whole stay absolutely perfect. Thanks for a wonderful few days and hope to re book soon. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Derry from Ireland wrote on 15.02.2007: Apartment was exactly as described, very clean, modern and good facilities. Outside the door hop on most trams and buses (5 mins from old town). Shop underneath was excellent for supplies and a restaurant there too. However it is acceptable and I believe the younger you are the less you care. The owner was very friendly and managed to understand us and make himself understood although he could not speak much English and we couldn't speak either Slovakian or German. He collected us at the Airport and made us very welcome. The apartment was clean and very well equiped, just as described on your website. Although the trams were quite noisy especially on the Monday morning because of the double glazing the noise was minimal. The main centre was just a 20 minute walk away and the tiny local bar up the road on the left as you look at the apartment from the road is well worth a visit. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to come and go as they please and it has everything you could need for your stay. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Sarah from UK wrote on 28.09.2006: The apartment was great and as expected, it was perfect for what we needed, was very clean & in perfect order. I would definately recommend it to others, it was a good base close to the city centre. The only thing I would say is remember to bring a corkscrew and tin opener because these are not provided although we did get lent one for the week! (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Malcolm from UK wrote on 24.09.2006: It was even better than expected. I have stayed in hotels and apartments in Bratislava on many occasions, but this was by the far the best accomodation for value and overall comfort. It was well equipped and spotlessly clean, and the owner was very helpful. Excellent. I will recommend it and will use it again myself. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) James from UK wrote on 18.08.2006: It was very good, clean, well maintained, the only minor problem was restricted utensils,e.g. no potato peeler, sieve, butter knives, this didn't present too much of a problem, and it certainly would not stop us going again, trams were a bit noisy first thing in morning, 4am, sometimes, so we couldn't keep the windows open all night, but there was air conditioning in the apartment, so that helped.
If you decide to stay here (and please do try it) walk straight across the road from the apartment, veer very slightly to the right, you can cut through what I think is a block of flats, this will bring you onto the walk along the Danube, 20 minutes into the town, pleasant enough, about 10 mins along this walk you will come across Park Kultury, it's a sports centre, volley ball etc. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Lee from UK wrote on 13.08.2006: Accommodation was excellent and the owner of embankment 2 was very friendly and helpful. I certainly would like to recommend it to other travellers. The shop downstairs was very nice and the owners were really nice.
The surroundings of the apartment was quite noisy, but it didn't bother us too much. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Clive from UK wrote on 12.05.2006: The apartment was better than expected. Clean, well equipped. But quite noisy cos of the trams. If you walk into town takes about 20 minutes or catch tram or bus outside apartment. I would recommend a stay in this apartment. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Helga from Germany wrote on 09.04.2006: Besides the noise form the street and the neighbouring bar everything was perfect, bed, kitchen, bathroom, local travelling (bus, tram - connection ideal) no criticism. The owners are very kind people.
Recommendation without any restrictions (besides noise). (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Hannah from UK wrote on 23.03.2006: The appartment was alot better than advertised in the pictures. It was clean and warm. We had a very comfortable stay in the appartment. I would recommend the appartment anyone going to stay in Bratislava. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Yvonne from Germany wrote on 13.03.2006: It was wonderful. The owners are very friendly and the flat was immaculate! Great value for money, better than the description on the net. I would definitely recommend it. Great for couples or families! (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Isabelle from France wrote on 26.02.2006: The flat was perfect, exactly like on internet. I really recommend it to other travelers. The flat is well localised in the city, near the historical centre and you can take bus and tramway in front of the building. The owner is really nice and helpful. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Chris from UK wrote on 20.02.2006: As the apartment was ideal, it made our stay wonderful. Our flight out was delayed by over 4 hours and the owner was there to pick us up at 11.30 at night. We were made very welcome. The apartment was in a very good location and only a short tram ride from the castle and old town. I enjoyed the 20 minute walk along the Danube into the town and would recommend it to everyone. The actual apartment made us feel at home and was very comfortable. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Hanna from Finland wrote on 03.01.2006: It was even better than we expected. It was clean and stylish. All the kitchen equipment was in good condition. The shower was a bit difficult to use but otherwise it was really nice apartment and close to the centre. The noise of the trams and owner's dog's barking were quite loud, but not too disturbing. The owner was really friendly. We liked the public transport connections, location and the room. I would recommend Svoboda Embankment for other travelers. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Stipica from Croatia wrote on 18.12.2005: The accommodation in Apartment Svoboda Embankment was great, as it was described. Great comfort for 4 persons, cleanliness and very affordable. Location of apartment was also a benefit because it is so near city center and Danube river, and parking on the street in front of the house, and supermarket in house yard. I would warmly recommend it to all travelers during winter times. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Gema from Spain wrote on 12.12.2005: It wasn't as we expected, it was better!! with difference. I'm sure it's the best accommodation and one of the cheapest in all Bratislava. The apartment is completely new, it's very beautiful. All the furnitures are from Ikea and it's very fashion. Ideal for couples, very intimate. I love this place!!! (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Alexander from Germany wrote on 23.11.2005: Everything was as described on your website. The apartment was very nice and all the people we met were very kind. We were pleased to find a little store nearby (it belongs to the building) where we could buy cheese, bread, wine and so on. It is open from 8 am until 9 pm. We recommend this apartment for other travellers and we will try to book it again if we visit Bratislava in the future. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Gary from UK wrote on 21.11.2005: Booking was perfect and I did stay at the apartment. The Apartment was 100% as it was decribed, maybe even better to be honest.
The apartment was perfect in most ways, was described well on the web site, perfect for anyone wanting to stay in Bratislava. The only things I could find fault with were: the dog that lives by the apartment was barkng at very early hours, aroung 0600hrs every morning, can be a little annoying. The only other thing I would advise the owners is maybe a little information on Bratislava put in one of the drawers, taxi numbers, things to do etc. But the apartment was so clean, looked like I'd just walked into a show room. PERFECT! (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Piotr from Poland wrote on 20.10.2005: I would like to say that I was very satisfied with the Apartment Svoboda. It's very well equipped apartment with satysfying price. Maybe because of the traffic it's not good to stay here in hot summer but I can recommend Apt. Svoboda to all visitors who are interested in spending a few days in Bratislava in another seasons. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Barry from New Zealand wrote on 06.10.2005: It was better than expected. The apartment was immaculate. In my opinion, its a great choice. It's an excellent and inexpensive place to stay, and ideal for anyone wishing to self-cater, as its fully equipped and there are two grocery stores within a minutes walk. It's not IN the tourist part of the city - which may put some people off - but is about a 15-20 mins walk along the Danube. Its also very easy to get there using buses or trams - they run very frequently - but be sure to collect enough change as the machines don't appear to take notes! You do get some traffic noise which I didn't find a problem, but people not used to this may want to bring ear plugs. The manager of the apartment was friendly and helpful. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Gisela from France wrote on 03.10.2005: It was really nice, exactly as described and exactly like pictures showed. Very nice and clean. Owners also are really nice people. It is definitely a good option, as even if not speaking the language, it is easy to understand people dealing with the apartment. Besides, it is near to the town and easily accessible. Safe and nice place. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Zafar from Switzerland wrote on 06.09.2005: The apartment was just as expected, rather more than satisfactory. Very clean and tidy. Nicely furnished and well kept. In case of our stay at the Apartment Svoboda Embankment 1, we enjoyed the hospitable and welcoming style of the proprietor and his family. They were really very considerate and helpful. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Herve from France wrote on 29.08.2005: It was difficult to find the apartment because there were works in the district and we thought that it was in the center of Bratislava.
We liked very much the apartment because it was very comfortable and equipped very well; the Mister who gave us the key was very accomodating.
We recommend this apartment to the other people who want to visit Bratislava, it is far away from the center but there is a tram stop near the apartment and for people who like walking there is a pleasant way near the river to go in the town. (<< Back to Apartments Lafranconi) Marzena from Poland wrote on 28.07.2005: The apartment makes a good choice because its localisation close to the historical center of Bratislava (tram and bus stops are in the neighbourhood). It is newly furnished, clean and very well equipped, enough space for 2-4 persons. Windows muffle effectively noises from the street. The owner and his family are helpful, very nice and ready for support. Moreover, in the same building there is a grocery with long open hours.
