Latest reviews of Hotel Arcadia:I was very satisfied with my overall experience at the Arcadia Hotel. I did the booking online, and the hotel was prompt, efficient, and courteous about the reservation. The hotel itself is in an 850-year-old building which has been beautifully renovated, with a lovely glass roof over the courtyard (now the lobby). It is located right inside the Old Town of Bratislava, which puts it within five minutes' walk of everything in the town center and maybe 15 minutes' walk from the castle. The best "local color" restaurant recommended by the Lonely Planet Travel Guide is just around the corner. The Arcadia Hotel itself is luxurious--not cheap, but then one is willing to pay for quality. Service is friendly and efficient. I was especially impressed when I walked into the dining room at 10 p.m. and asked if they were still serving food. "Of course!" the waiter said, and proceeded to serve me a fabulous dinner. The breakfast buffet (included in the price of the room) was varied and copious, with a bottle of the local bubbly on ice an especially nice touch. My only recommendation would be that they put individually sized pitchers of milk on each table so that guests don't need to get up to get a glass of milk to put in their coffee or tea. My only negative experience with the hotel was that when I was about to leave, a friend and I had coffee at the bar, and the barman charged us for three coffees. I wouldn't have discovered it if I hadn't inquired at to why two coffees cost as much as we were being charged. It seemed like a dumb mistake to make--or a dumb way to make a little extra money, if that's what he was trying to do. I also needed to put an initial charge on my credit card when I checked in, and when I checked out, the chap at the desk told me he wasn't able to reverse the initial charge but would do so within the week following.David from United States on a leisure trip wrote on 25.11.2010 More reviews...

Hotel Arcadia Ricardo from Austria wrote on 09.04.2009 2009-04-09:We had an excellent stay at our Junior Suite! Overall value is 10 out of 10. We received the booking information very promptly. We were even upgraded for a small additional fee which was a great experience for us. I know that you charge 10 Euros for breakfast in the room but I dont rememeber if you also charge that for room service to order other things during the day. Hoping to stay at your hotel again soon with the same quality and service!3
