Hotel Avance is a newly built designer business hotel in a quiet street right outside of the pedestrian zone of the Old Town.

The hotel's standard business rooms are a generous 36m2 (approx. 390 sq. ft) with queen size beds, designer furnishings, LCD TV, minibar, desk and safe (fits a 15'' notebook computer). All rooms are airconditioned and non-smoking. Each room is equipped either with bath or shower (indicate preference in booking form), hair dryer, the toilet is located in the bathroom. An extra bed can be added to every room and children's cots are available on request.

Suites are 70m2 (approx. 750 sq. ft) in size, they feature a terrace or balcony overlooking a quiet courtyard. Bathrooms in suites contain both a bath and shower.

Internet connection is available for free in rooms (the ethernet cable is provided) and there is free Wireless Internet in the lobby.

Avance is literally a few minutes walk from the Opera, National Philharmonic Reduta Hall, Slovak National Gallery and all the major historical sights.

Tram tunnel under the castle hill is undergoing reconstruction until September 2010 (estimated). Changes to the tram service include closing of the lines no. 11 and no. 14. Tram no. 16 replaces these lines with the service from Komisarky (Raca district) via city centre (Obchodna, SNP square and Kamenne square) to Astronomicka (Ruzinov). See the detailed timetable. Trams no. 1, 5 and 9 are re-routed via SNP square, Ludovit Stur square and the Danube embankment.

Reconstruction of tram tracks near Trnavske Myto affects tram lines no. 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 14. Bus lines no. X6 and X14 service the affected stops.

These changes affect properties serviced by trams no. 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 14 listed at Bratislava Hotels website.

We were very satisfied with the hotel. Hotel Avance is very nicely furnished, it looks very new, and cleanliness is on a high level. Location is perfect, if you turn right around the corner you are in the city center, and if you turn left you find yourself on the bank of river Danube. The only thing that could be improved is breakfast which is quite poor, both in quantity and selection.
