The Relax and Treat Yourself Itinerary

Friday
-Drinks
Settle in to your hotel, change into something trendy yet comfortable and head for the Korzo the Bratislava promenade. Pick a pleasant street cafe around the Main Square or a place at Michalska and enjoy the view.
-Dinner
-- Start your relaxing weekend in Bratislava with a hearty meal and a nice glass of Slovak wine at one of the city's landmark restaurants, the Prasna Basta. It has been around for years but has maintained its genuinely friendly service, intimate atmosphere and honest cuisine.
-Evening
-- Walk down the Korzo from Prasna Basta and find Cafe Studio Club on Laurinska with live jazz music. Perfect for beers. If you prefer mixed drinks, there is a street corner with about five decent choices - the corner of Venturska and Zelena. Check the trendy Coctail Bar, Greenwich or Antinori.

Saturday
-Breakfast
-- Sleep in and enjoy the hotel breakfast or sit down at Verne at Hviezdoslavovo Square for a cheaper but no less pleasant option.
-Morning
-- Saturday is the perfect day for a sightseeing tour of the city centre. Take a self-guided tour, catch one of the scheduled walking or minibus tours or ride on the charmingly slow Presporacik train. Do not miss the spectacular views from the top of the UFO-like structure at the New Bridge.
-Lunch
--Save the castle for the early afternoon - the walk up should stimulate your appetite. On the way down, if you have room for lunch, stop by the Modra Hviezda restaurant on the side of the castle hill for sumptuous regional fair. If you prefer a lighter lunch, head down to Hviezdoslavovo Square for a salad at People's Lounge or Kogo with outdoor seating.
-Afternoon
--There is more to explore around the Old Town - perhaps the City Museum or one of the National Gallery or City Gallery exhibits. A stop at a street cafe for drinks is optional but recommended.
-Dinner
--Treat yourself - the classiest restaurants in Bratislava run at a fraction of what you would have to pay for the same quality at any major Western European capital. Ask the hotel to make a reservation at the Dalmatia u Mamicky, Savoyka Restaurant or Medina at the Marrol's Hotel. If you wish for a somewhat less pricy alternative, head across the river to AuCafe with Italian food or Leberfinger with traditional Pressburger fare.
-Evening
-If you are up for a night out, try the Woch Music Club in Frantiskanske Square.

Sunday
-Breakfast
--Treat yourself to a brilliant brunch at the Radisson SAS Carlton's Brasserie at the Opera or the Romeo and Julietta at the Danube.
-Morning and Lunch
--We suggest either a bus trip to the nearby ruins of the ancient Devin castle, trip to the Veza restaurant located at the Kamzik TV tower in the woody hills or a boat ride on the Danube. By now you will have found somewhere intriguing to take lunch but if not, you can not go wrong with Paparazzi at Laurinska or Medusa above Michael's Tower at Michalska.
-Afternoon
--Head across the river to the Sad Janka Krala gardens for a walk or for a little shopping splurge at the Aupark Shopping Centre. Make sure not to miss your flight back and spread the good word about Bratislava!
