Hotel Danubia Gate is a modern, newly built four-star hotel in Dunajska street, in the city centre.

Hotel Danubia Gate offers four types of rooms - Single, Double, Twin and Double De Luxe rooms. All rooms offer LCD TV with satellite TV channels, minibar, hair dryer, air conditioning unit, personal computer with DVD player (connected to LCD TV), ADSL internet connection (Wi-Fi also available) and LCD monitor.

Single, Double and Twin rooms are from 11 to 19 sq meters (from 118 to 204 sq. feet) and offer shower and toilet in the bathroom.

Double De Luxe rooms are considerably larger (35 sq. meters or 376 sq. feet) and each one offers hydro massage bathtub a bidet and another LCD TV in the bathroom. In the room is fold out sofa bed that can sleep additional two persons.

The total capacity of Danubia Gate is 53 persons. Hotel has six floors and offers one room suitable for disabled persons (on the first floor, hotel has an elevator).

Tram tunnel under the castle hill is undergoing reconstruction until September 2010 (estimated). Changes to the tram service include closing of the lines no. 11 and no. 14. Tram no. 16 replaces these lines with the service from Komisarky (Raca district) via city centre (Obchodna, SNP square and Kamenne square) to Astronomicka (Ruzinov). See the detailed timetable. Trams no. 1, 5 and 9 are re-routed via SNP square, Ludovit Stur square and the Danube embankment.

Reconstruction of tram tracks near Trnavske Myto affects tram lines no. 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 14. Bus lines no. X6 and X14 service the affected stops.

These changes affect properties serviced by trams no. 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 14 listed at Bratislava Hotels website.

Public transport directions
From Airport take bus no. 61 and get off at terminus at main train station. (25 minutes)

From Bratislava Main Train station take tram no. 13, get off at Jesenskeho street (sixth stop), walk back 50 meters towards the intersection with Sturova. Turn left and continue along the tram lines back to Kamenne namestie. At the traffic lights cross to the other side towards Slovenska sporitelna. You are now on Dunajska Street. Continue about 300 meters. Hotel Danubia Gate is on the right side. (30 minutes)

From Bus Station take trolleybus no. 202 or 205 and get off at the terminus (Rajska). Continue about 50 meters in the same direction. Turn left to Rajska and continue walking towards the intersection with Dunajska. Turn left again and continue towards the building of OTP Bank and Oracle. Hotel Danubia Gate is on the opposite side of the street. (15 minutes)

Driving directions for Hotel Danubia Gate:
From Berg border crossing:
Take route E58 (Viedenska road) and drive straight towards overpass. Pass above Einsteinova street and follow Viedenska cesta. Continue under the bridge (Novy most - New Bridge) along with Danube river bank, then turn left and cross the Danube using Stary most (Old Bridge). After you cross this bridge, turn right on the traffic lights to the Dostojevskeho rad. Pass next traffic lights and turn left to Klemensova street. Continue straight until the end of the street and then turn left to Dunajska street. Hotel Danubia Gate is on your left.

From highway D61:
Pass IKEA and Hypernova shopping malls and follow the "centrum" (city center) traffic signs. Drive straight towards Pristavny most (Port bridge), below the overpass to the roundabout. Follow the "centrum" sign. You are now on Pristavna street. Drive straight down the street, continue straight to the Landererova street. In the end of Landererova street turn to the right to Dostojevskeho rad. On the second traffic lights turn left to Mlynske nivy and continue to Dunajska street. Hotel Danubia Gate is on your left.

The hotel has a very good location and the parking place included in the price was extremely useful. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We would come back again to the same hotel. The breakfast offer could be improved with a wider choice of food (e.g. different types of cereals, yogurt and bread).
