Designhotel 21 cakov:makara offers 21 individual design rooms by Slovakia's premier architects Kalin Cakov and Emil Makara who have designed a number of other Bratislava hotels (e.g. Aston Business Hotel). The hotel is located in a newly built block on the busy Trnavska cesta, short drive or bus ride to the city centre, conveniently accessible from the airport and railway station. The design hotel offers three types of rooms (from 25 sq. metres to 45 sq. metres): eight Double rooms, ten Double rooms with king size beds and three Suites. Each room is furnished individually with top quality materials. Some of the rooms have a bathtub and some have a shower corner. Similarly some rooms have bathroom and toilet separated and other have not. All rooms are air-conditioned and feature safe, minibar (consumption is not include in the price), hair dryer, TV set (with several English language channels) and direct line phone. All rooms are non-smoking only. Each room has a different name that hints at the style in which it is furnished in. The following is a sampling of rooms on offer: Music Box room features lights effects and pleasant music and furnishings inducing unusual sound and touch sensations, Plastic room features an avant-garde plastic design, Black room is furnished in an airy, neo-baroque style in black). Other available rooms are Metal, Concrete, Simple White, Simple Black, Japan, Levitation, Pop Art, etc. The hotel offers a small restaurant, luxurious wellness centre (extra charge), wine cellar and a restaurant.
