Downtown Backpackers' Hostel situated in a historical building just a few steps from the Presidential palace offers wonderful possibility of exploring Bratislava Old Town at a reasonable price.

The hostel provides clean and modern rooms and assistance of friendly staff. Kitchen, laundry and non-stop internet access are available at Backpacker's.

The hostel offers dorm rooms and a limited number of private rooms. The bathroom and toilet facilities for both types of rooms are shared and located in the hallway. The hostel provides bed linens but does not provide towels.

Downtown Backpacker's Hostel is a member of the Hostelling International (HI) network thus offering a 10% discount for HI card holders. The hostel is good option for travellers who want to stay downtown and have easy access to most of the restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs.

The hostel is primarily suitable for backpackers and other young and undemanding travelers, especially due to the shared bathroom facilities.

From the Airport take bus bus no. 61 to the Main Train Station. (25 minutes)

From the Main Train Station take bus no. 93 (2 stops) and get off at Hodzovo namestie. Go straight into the narrow Panenska street, walk about 20 meters, Hostel Backpacker's is on your right. (5 minutes)

From Bus Station take trolleybus no. 208 or 206 and get off at Hodzovo namestie. Walk through the underground passage to right and go straight up to the narrow Panenska street. Walk about 20 meters, Hostel Backpacker's is on your right. (10 minutes)

The reviews of the hostel were accurate, it was clean, in a great location and good value, the food in the hostel was very high quality.

The cleanliness and description were accurate. Quality was at the lower end of the scale but this was no five star hotel and cost me £15 a night. Overall i was happy with my experience getting to meet new people and sleeping in a clean bed in an excellent location.

As I have never stayed in a hostel before wasn't quite sure what to expect but after all it was a pleasant surprise. The booking was simple, received the booking confirmation in no time. The location of the hostel was great, staff really helpful. Happy with it. If there is another time I will need to stay over night in Bratislava wouldn't hesitate to stay there.

The hostel was as described. A little mis-understanding on the type of room that was booked, but nothing that could not be sorted out when checking in. Good hostel for backpackers. The hotel was clean, very close from downtown, convenient to access at any time of the day and night.

The room was ok, bedlining ok but no towel. Only one shower was working. And there were no guard and a party next door was going on all night. Is there no limit for when to be silent at night? I will never recommend this hostel to friends nor ever stay there again.

The condition of the hostel was good, clean, fairly good facilities, excellent kitchen and location. It was the second time I have stayed at this hostel, I would recommend it to others. It felt safe and I was thankful for the open 24 hours/lockers with locks provided features.
