Guided Tours FAQ

1. What are the conditions on guided tours offered through www.BratislavaHotels.com?
We offer reservations for two types of guided tours:
1. Scheduled Minibus Tours (Scheduled Tours A-C)
2. Custom Tours

For scheduled minibus tours, the minibus leaves from the Hviezdoslavovo Square at the scheduled time as long as there are at least two passengers. Once you place an order through our order form, the operator of the scheduled tour will e-mail you to confirm your reservation.

For scheduled tours, the minibus can not pick you up at a different location. By reserving your tour through www.BratislavaHotels.com you are entitled to a 5% discount on the standard walk-in price and are guaranteed a seat on the minibus.

For custom tours, the conditions may vary since we usually approach at least two of our partners to get you the best quote. However, unless stated otherwise the following conditions apply:

A tour guide will meet you at any previously agreed location. The tours can be carried out on foot or transportation can be arranged by the partner agency providing guide services.

Payment is in cash to the tour guide, unless requested otherwise.

2. What languages are offered for guided tours?
For scheduled minibus tours, guides are presently available in the English language only.

Custom guided tours are available in English, German, Italian, Russian and French. Other languages may be available on request.

3. What are the prices on guide services?
For scheduled minibus tours, the fixed prices are stated at Scheduled Bratislava Minibus City Tours.

For custom tours, prices are provided at Custom Bratislava Guided Tours. You will receive an exact price offer from our staff or directly from one of our partners. Generally, rates depend on duration, group size and language required.

4. Who provides the guided tour services?
The Bratislava Hotels team has searched many local companies to find the ones that offer the best combination of quality service and cheap prices.

We have partnered with several leading city guide agencies to offer you reasonably priced tours with qualified guides in English, German, Slovak and other langauges. Our partners include VisitBratislava, the only operator of guaranteed scheduled minibus tours.

We get paid a small commission on most of these bookings.

5. How long does it take the guided tour provider to respond?
All partners whose services are offered are contractually bound to respond to requests within 24 hours on working days. If they do not, please let us know. We occasionally suspend cooperation with partners which do not meet these conditions to guarantee the best customer service possible.

6. How is the privacy of my information assured?
The following outlines the www.BratislavaHotels.com Privacy Policy for guide services requests:

The information submitted in the Additional services offer request form is processed by our staff and forwarded directly to the partner agency offering the best terms on the given service.

www.BratislavaHotels.com only uses your information for two purposes - to get in touch with you if the partner agency requires more information and is unable to contact you and secondly, to request your feedback on the quality of your booking experience with us and the services of the partner agency providing the guide services.

If you do not reply to our e-mail request for feedback, we never contact you again by e-mail.

We will not send you or allow our partners to send you unsolicited commercial communication. Our contracts with hotels and other partners stipulate that all measures must be reasonably taken to protect the privacy of your information.

If you submit your physical address, we may send you a Christmas Card.

Occasionally, especially for high season periods, the partner agency may ask you to provide your credit card number or prepay the reservation.
