Hostel Patio is a youth hostel located directly on the edge of the Old Town about five minutes walk from most of the main attractions. It provides accommodation in very simple double, triple, quad bed-rooms, eight-bed dorms and dormitories with six to 12 beds (bed linens are provided).

The very basic bathroom and toilet facilities for all rooms are shared and located on each floor and may be a little tight when the hostel is full. Every floor also offers a small fridge and kitchenette.

Hostel is located in an older buidling on Spitalska Street. It offers free internet access, laundry, common room with TV.

The hostel is primarily suitable for backpackers and other young travelers, especially due to the shared bathroom facilities.

Breakfast is not included in the price listed. Available breakfast: Tea and coffee are provided free of charge. Restaurants and fastfoods nearby..

Discounts: Individual guests receive sixth night free during low season

To get there by public transport:
From Airport take bus no. 61 and get off at Bajkalska stop. Change for trolleybus no. 205 and get off at Rajska. Walk straight and cross the trams tracks at the junction. Walk into the house passage with the "Patio Hostel" sign. Patio Hostel is on your left. (40 minutes)

From Main Train Station take trolleybus no. 201 and get off at Mileticova stop. Change for trolleybus no. 202 and get off at Rajska stop. Spitalska street is only two minutes walk. When you see passage with the "Patio Hostel" sign, walk in, the hostel is on your left. (20 minutes).
Alternatively Take the tram no. 13 and get off at Vysoka stop. Walk back for about 50 metres and turn right to Marianska street. Walk down the street until you are by the tram tracks. Turn right to Spitalska street and conitnue to the passage to the left with the "Patio Hostel" sign. (15 minutes)

From Bus Station take trolleybus no. 202 or 205 and get off at terminus Rajska. Walk straight and cross the trams tracks at the junction. Walk into the house passage with the "Patio Hostel" sign. Patio Hostel is on your left. (5 minutes)

The alley was a bit intimidating at first, but the hostel was everything we could have hoped for.

Hostel Patio is a fine low budget hostel and came completely up to scratch.
I think the hostel is suitable for backpackers and people like me who pay the city a short visit for sightseeing.

It was clean, new, and the staff were lovely. The dormitories are so nice. You have privacy, yet are still surrounded by other travelers which is great when you are traveling either alone or in a pair. The facilities were great to.

The rooms are very basic but big and clean, fresh linen etc. Excellent reception staff - all spoke good English and were very helpful. Arrived late, by taxi and found the entrance, hidden down a dark alley, intimidating. Hostel very central and close to a huge Tesco!

Hostel was as described, but we stayed in 10 persons dormitory, and there weren't any chairs or tables that we could eat and drink on, though there was kitchen where we could make food and breakfast. So we had to eat sitting on the floor, and that wasn't so nice. Otherwise everything was OK, and I would recommend it to other travvellers.
