The description was very good. It was like expected. When you need a hotel only for sleep it is the right place. Young travellers are the most suitable for this Hotel. Business Travellers which need for their notebooks Internet are not supported. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

I am pleased to say that Hotel Jurki Dom is very nice, and everything is as described. It isn’t expensive so it is suitable, among others, for students and young people who don’t have problem with going to the center with public transportation. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

I was happy with my stay at Jurki Dom, it was better than I expected. Only one observation: the first day breakfast was very good but the second day breakfast was significantly poorer than the first one. I also observed that the back side of the hotel is near the train lane and it may be noisy. To avoid unpleasantness, tourists should be informed in advance of this. My room was on the front side and I haven't had problems with road noise. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

The hotel has a very good price-service ratio.
Two only things, next time no breakfast in this hotel. I prefer to go outside and pay a little bit more and get better breakfast. And the towels they gave to us were old and a little dirty (we were ready for no towels so no problem). Another thing are noises the hotel has the highway in one side and the train tracks in the other. So you can't leave your window open. If you close it the noise is acceptable.
Do i recommend this hotel? Yes of course and if you are a group of four people and get a type A room it is great, you have refrigerator and the kitchenette.
And the main thing; it is cheap. If we go again to Bratislava we will stay here. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

The rooms were as expected, clean, well maintained. I would recommend it to the transition passenger, as it is conveniently placed close to the motorway. The staff could be a bit more friendly. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

The hotel is ok. The room are great with new furniture. Everything is clean. The fact that the highway is nearby should not bother anyone because Jurki Dom has new, very good windows and you can't hear anything. I would surely recommend the hotel to other travelers. The only thing I did not like was breakfast. There was not enough food and you can not choose what would you eat. You eat what they give you and that is really poor breakfast. I would strongly recommend to everyone not to eat there because they will pay for the breakfast and stay hungry. Beside the fact that the breakfast was poor everything else was ok. I would certainly go there again (but would never pay the breakfast again). (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

To the hotel I can say that it is very good for this low price. The highway directly at the hotel didn't bother me. It was nice and clean. I just wish to have a bathtowel, there were just two small towels.
If I stay again in Bratislava, I will stay again in Jurki Dom. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

Hotel was as described and found it better than i was expecting, cheap and clean bit out of town though that's reflected in price and bus stop is more or less right outside hotel, breakfast was plentiful and good for approx 1.50 gbp. I would stay again. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

The hotel was better as we expected. It was clean, the staff was friendly and receptionist spoke enough English. The breakfast was good and there were four computers having fast internet connection. We haven't any complaints. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

It is good choice, because it is quite cheap, comfortable and there are no problems with parking.
It can be bad choice for the persons not tolerating any noise during the night - because of the railway station emitting from time to time very loud messages and because of passing trains. But for tired travellers sleeping well this is not a big deal. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

I found that the highway wasn't as disturbing as expected. The hotel was absolutely charmless but clean and good for one night's sleep. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

It was better than expected. Nice rooms with aircondition and clean bathroom. It was also good to have a fridge. The only thing to mention is that Motorway in the front and Railway in the backyard of the hotel are quite noisy, but that was also included in the description, you only have to read it carefully. The hotel was as expected. But it was too loud with highway running all night. The hotel staff was friendly, the receptionist speaking English and there were private parking. The breakfast was OK
The hotel is a good choice from several reasons: good location, very good price for the quality provided. For one or a couple of days staying the hotel Jurki Dom is a very good choice. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

Carlos from Spain wrote on 18.08.2005:
The hotel provides good accomodation at reasonable rates. Staff is kind and nice, Rooms are correctly furnished and equipped. Travellers should be warned that the hotel is located between the motorway and the railroad, so noises to be expected, however not too loud. The windows are large and no blinds or dark courtains exist, so once the sun is up, there's no way to make the bedroom dark. The towels provided by the hotel are small sized. The hotel is a good choice from several reasons: good location (near the highway but close to the city), very good price for the quality provided, receptionists speaking English, private parking. I couldn't notice anything bad, but as my stay was only for one night, I was very pleased with the hotel. I would like to say that Bratislava is a very nice city, and staying in Jurki Dom Hotel is a good choice. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

We have received the booking confirmation in time, we went to the hotel (but there they didn't have any idea that we were arriving. Fortunately I had the print of the confirmation from the hotel and everything was OK. The breakfast was terrible. The second day we didn't get it at all, the last time the untidy cook brought us (after 30 minutes) still wet bread from the fridge and it was impossible to eat. He was also really unpolite. Johan from Belgium wrote on 04.08.2005:
With are arrival, the girl at the reception told us that breakfast was possible at 8 o'clock...At 10.15, the cook was still not yet in. Eventually we received something that should have been a breakfast at 10.40. Half the day was already wasted.
After the first night, our room was not cleaned. Consequence: no clean towels to shower, messy room and bed. When we friendly asked the girl at the reception for clean towels (after an exhausting visit to your beautiful city), she simply replied that the cleaning lady was not there; we didn't receive clean towels. The receptionist was not friendly at all. She hardly understood a word of English. The following day, I waited untill I saw the cleaning lady herself and asked her to visit our room.
We stayed 3 nights in the hotel, every day there was a different girl at the reception desk. They all hardly understood or spoke English, German, French or Dutch. I expected for a hotel in a European capital more knowledge of language of the girls. The girls were hardly polite (except when we payed). They were not interested in the questions/problems of the (Western European) guests.
If problems above are solved, the hotel would have a good price-quality ratio. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

The hotel was good because it was cheap, clean and nice looking on the inside. staff was nice and friendly but it was a bit far from the downtown, and the outside environment is not nice looking. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

Good: it is in the neighbourhood of the highway and the airport, rooms are ok, food is ok, personnel is friendly. Bad: the highway and the train classification yard give some noise and there is no nice terrace. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

Guy from USA wrote on 17.07.2005:
The hotel was not as expected. It was very loud with trains running all night long. I got very little sleep. The hotel staff was friendly, but the noise makes it a difficult place to sleep. The lack of air conditioning makes it a poor candidate for resting as the windows need to be open to cool the rooms, increasing the noise. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

The hotel is nice, situated near the town. The Old Town can be very well reached by public transport. The hotel is not a good choice if you want to go walking in a natural environment. Have patience with the hotel personnel. They are pleased to help ypu but they have little knowledge of foreign languages. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

Ralf from Netherlands wrote on 07.02.2005:
We did not expect the hotel to be this luxurious, especially when you look at the hotel at the outside, you don't expect it to be this nice on the inside.
Good things about the hotel:
- the price, it is very cheap for the quality they serve.
- the food in the restaurant, very good and very cheap.
- the bedrooms were very clean and luxurious, the pillows were big and nice!
- the facilities: Internet cafe, pooltable, elevator, (computer) games.
- the parking lot
Less good things about the hotel:
- the personnel (hardly) speaks English
- the menu card is not in English
- the restaurant was hard to find, because they are renovating the hotel and there was no sign for the restaurant. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

I stayed in the hotel which turned out to be much better from what I expected from the Internet pictures and description. It was clean, nice, cosy, and it looked just renewed. It was really good and very cheap for its standard. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)

Fabio from Italy wrote on 15.01.2005:
I was really satisfied with Jurki Dom because: it is cheap; rooms are clean and comfortable; food is good and dishes are generous; there are many facilities such as gym, sauna, solarium and Internet
room. Negative sides are that it's a little far from the Centrum and most of personnel don't speak English, both things anyway could be easily overcome. (<< Back to Hotel Jurki Dom)
