I stayed at Michalska Brana Hotel for two nights last week. Everything was perfect. The hotel was modern, clean and friendly stuff. The reservation service was excellent. Bratislava is very nice and exciting.

Hotel Michalska Brana is a new hotel in a reconstructed medieval building in the Old Town's pedestrian zone, in a quiet side-street right next to the baroque landmark Michael's Tower.

One of the hotel's walls is a part of the original city fortifications, parts of which are recognisable in the hotel's interior. The 14 rooms are furnished with modern designer furniture. In addition to double and twin rooms, one Executive Studio and one Executive Apartment are available.

Air-conditioned rooms feature flat-screen TV with 30 channels, high-speed internet access, telephone and minibar. En-suite bathrooms are equipped with shower (bath in Executive Studio and Apartment), toilet and hairdryer. Non-smoking rooms and hypoallergenic pillows available.

Breakfast is included in the price listed (Breakfast buffet available between 7:00 am - 10:00 am during weekdays and between 7:30am - 10:30am during weekends).

To get there by public transport:
From Airport take bus no. 61 to the terminus (Main Train Station). (25 minutes)

From Main Train Station take tram no. 13 and get off at Postova street (fifh stop). Continue straight about 50 meters, cross the tram tracks and walk towards Michalska veza (Michael's Tower).You are now in pedestrian zone, pass below the tower and turn right to Bastova street. Hotel Michalska Brana is on your right. (15 minutes)

From Bus station take trolleybus no. 206 and get off at Hodzovo square (Hodzovo namestie). Use the underground passage and walk to Postova street. On Postova street turn to the right and folow the tram tracks. You are now on Obchodna street and you can see Michalska veza (Michael's Tower) 200 meters in front of you. Continue straight about 50 meters, cross the tram tracks and walk towards Michalska veza (Michael's Tower).You are now in pedestrian zone, pass below the tower and turn right to Bastova street. Hotel Michalska Brana is on your right.(20 minutes)

From Czech Republic:
Continue straight down the highway E65, cross several traffic lights (after Hypertesco Lamac store pass 6 traffic light) and drive direction city center (centrum). Continue to Prazska street, pass Main Train Station and continue on Stefanikova street towards Hodzovo square with Presidential Palace. On traffic lights on Hodzovo square continue straight to Suche myto. On next traffic lights turn left and follow the tram tracks for about 50 meters, then turn right to Ursulinska street. There is Ursulinky underground garage in the street.

From Berg border crossing:
Take route E58 (Viedenska road) until the exit to E75 (Einsteinova street). Follow Einsteinova street. Continue until exit to the Novy most - New Bridge and use it to cross the Danube. Continue straight from the bridge to the first traffic lights. Do not drive underground, stay on surface and turn right on traffic lights to Suche myto. On next traffic lights turn left and follow the tram tracks for about 50 meters, then turn right to Ursulinska street. There is Ursulinky underground garage in the street.

The hotel was pricey but very nice, modern, clean, and meeting the standard of a major international hotel. The food and service in the restaurant were excellent.

The hotel was great, very clean and the staff were very nice to deal with, very nice breakfast in the hotel. Will stay in this hotel again. It was very central, great location in the city, over all a great trip.

We really loved the hotel! It was very clean and the furniture was modern and stylish! Your description of Hotel Michalska Brana was really accurate. I got the booking confirmation within 2 hours after the inquiry. We felt also very happy about the rich breakfast and the staff's friendliness.
Overall, we were absolutely pleased about the hotel and the whole city!
