Because I am an undemanding person, I was quite satisfied but the hotel fails to meet the international four-star standards in all aspects. If I qualify this "four-star" hotel as a decent pension, I can recommend it.

Hotel Miva is the first hotel you hit after crossing the border from Austria or Hungary by car. It is a modern building located in Petrzalka, the concrete Bratislava-quarter on the right river bank. Miva is a 15 minute drive from the city center, also accessible by bus.

Miva is one of the cheapest four-star hotels. It offers almost four-star luxury and three-star prices. It is well suited for price-consciouss business travelers seeking a reasonable standard with lots of privacy away from the touristy parts of the city.

Near the hotel, you can take riverside walks or jogs, there is also a lake to swim in. The hotel is in Petrzalka, a mainly residential part of Bratislava with lots of concrete apartment blocks.

From Train station take bus no.93, get off at Bzovicka. The bus ride takes about 25 minutes.

From Downtown take bus no.93 (at Hodzovo nam. or at Zochova street), get off at Bzovicka. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes.

By car or taxi, the distance from the city centre is about 8 km and the drive takes 15 minutes.

The reception gave us good information about our questions of the hotel. Our reason for choosing the hotel was the 4 stars, and the garage. The hotel was very good, the people at the reception are very kind. It was very quite, good for sleep. We rented a garage box by the hotel, that was safe for us. The food in the restaurant was very good, but they were not very friendly. So, if we come again to Bratislava, then we take the same hotel.

It was OK, only that the general environment was not of a 4 stars hotel, as described. The restaurant and the breakfast were not according to the 4 stars standard.
