Hotel Nivy resides near a lake in a residential part of town quite near the city center. Albeit an unseemly structure on the outside, the Hotel Nivy has gone to great lengths in improving its inherited Communist-era workers' hotel decor in favor of more modern, Western style furnishings.

The hotel is very popular with younger travellers, families on a budget and teenager binge drinking tours. The upside: you don't feel guilty coming home at any state or anytime and other guests are numerous enough and dispersed enough not to notice. The downside is that the place is a little impersonal.
