Hotel Carlton is a traditional top-class hotel recently reconstructed by a chain operator. It is one of the poshest hotels in the city in one of its primest locations, in the middle of the picturesque Old Town.

The Carlton is less than a minute from the Slovak National Theatra Opera House and just about a minute from the Concert Hall of the Slovak Philharmony.

Foreign visitors who enjoy the familiar away from home and can afford it have found it one of the nicest hotels in Bratislava both for business and pleasure, although some note it is still not quite up to the standard of comparable facilities with a longer tradition.

The Radisson SAS Carlton is in a very safe area, there are restaurants, caffes and cake shops nearby. The hotel is accessible by public transport and most of Bratislava's historical attractions are located within walking distance.

Many businesses (especially international) are also located in the downtown of Bratislava and are thus walking distance from the Radisson SAS Carlton.

From Berg border crossing:
Take route E58 (Viedenska road) until the exit to E75 (Einsteinova street). Follow Einsteinova street. Continue until exit to the Novy most - New Bridge and use it to cross the Danube. Keep to the right and exit the bridge using first exit. Pass under the bridge, on the traffic lights turn to the left (almost 360 degrees) and continue along Danube river bank. Pass under the bridge once again and continue on Razusovo nabrezie (Razus embankment) until second traffic lights. Turn to the left, pass Ludovit Stur statue and continue straight. Hotel Carlton underground garage is directly in front of you.

From highway D61:
Pass IKEA and Hypernova shopping malls and follow the "centrum" (city center) traffic signs. Drive straight towards Pristavny most (Port bridge), below the overpass to the roundabout. Follow the "centrum" sign. You are now on Pristavna street. Drive straight down the street, continue straight to the Landererova street. In the end of Landererova street turn to the left to Dostojevskeho rad. Pass the traffic lights and continue on Vajanskeho nabrezie (Vajansky embankment). On next traffic light turn right pass Ludovit Stur statue and continue straight. Hotel Carlton underground garage is directly in front of you.

The hotel was excellent, we have stayed at Radisson previously in Berlin and the overall experience was just as good. Location couldn't have been better, the Hotel in general was very clean and our room and in particular the bathhroom was spotless (very important for us). Staff at the hotel very helpful and friendly, concierge, bar staff and reception. The drinks in the bar were a little expensive relative to the prices in bars in the city but we appreciate the 5 star facilities.

I confirm that we really enjoyed our stay at the Radisson SAS Carlton in Bratislava, we asked for and received a room overlooking Hviezdoslavovo nam, which was brilliant.
The hotel's reception staff were very helpful and courteous. Thus cleanliness, service and overall value at €160, including a full cooked breakfast, was excellent.

Would seem to be a good choice for tourists or business people coming to Bratislava. The room was very comfortable and well furnished. Internet services were excellent in room and lobby area on wireless.
