Latest feedback on Hotel Turist: We stayed 7 nights at the hotel.
The hotel is near the airport and near to the city centre. These are the positive things of the hotel.
Our rooms have never been cleaned. The beds have never been made, and the sheets never changed.
The bath is very small and poor. You can’t hang a towel, nothing. The towels are very small, so small that you can dry only your hands. After a shower, it was a big problem to dry. We asked for big towels, but we got them only once.
The windows are old and some of them can’t be closed.
The breakfast is very poor. I understand it is a 2 star hotel, but
some levels must be guaranteed.
It is far from the western Europe standard. Of course it is not to be
recommended to families. It can be good only for young people who try to save money, without looking to services.
This hotel seemed to belong to the Soviet period. Maybe it was a good hotel 30 years ago, but it must now change a lot of things to be recommended.Francesco from Italy wrote on 02.08.2007 More feedback...

Visitors' feedback: Richard from Netherlands wrote on 28.07.2007: The hotel was as expected, nothing fancy, but not a complete dump. Because of the hot temperature it was quite hot, but beyond hotel control as there was no aircon. The stated fridge in the room wasn't there though.Shirley from Italy wrote on 27.07.2007: I stayed at the hotel Turist and was as expected simple and cheap the bathroom was a bit old but okay for an overnight stop.Atanas from Bulgaria wrote on 12.06.2007: The hotel room, we stayed in, was a good one, but there were no refrigerator and a hair-dryer as it is described in the web-site. The bathroom was rather old-equipped. During our stay there were reparation action in a part f the hotel which produced a loud noise. Except a few causes, the receptionists were not very courteous. As a conclusion, I would say that if these remarks are concerned, hotel Turist has the potential of being a very good hotel. It is reasonably-prized and is suitable for a wide range of guests.Paul from Netherlands wrote on 16.11.2006: Hotel Tourist is a budget hotel (as was clearly indicated on the website), and offers accommodation in agreement with its price. It means: simple, no room service, no breakfast (but for 50-60 Sk a simple meal was available).
So don't expect luxury, but it was clean and friendly. I do not agree with the last comment on your website about this hotel: it is too negative in general.
A further comment: the distance to the historical centre is more than 15 minutes walk (about 25), but you can take a bus or tramway, and this takes 10 minutes only.Ingrid from UK wrote on 16.11.2006: The hotel was clean and the staff very approachable. The advertising also met with the standards of the hotel and the price was very reasonable. The hotel probably best suits independent travellers who like the freedom to come & go.Cesar from Spain wrote on 26.09.2006: I would not recommend it to other people. It is very old, and the staff are not polite. Also, it is far from the city center.>> Read older feedback for Hotel Turist
