It was clean, the room was cosy, the morning food was substantial (in Western Europe and in the U.S., you do not get that much and that variety for breakfast even in more expensive hotels). The transportation was good. I would recommend it to others, too. (<< Back to Hotel Zvarac)

Everything was really clean, and the rooms were very quiet. Also the staff was rather kind. The only inconvient I found was that the hot water not always was available. It is a perfect place for travelers coz you just get on the tram from train station and you get straight to the place, for good price you can be in the town in about 7 min, lovely breakfast every morning, very nice people. We have been very satisfied with the services in this hotel. The rooms were the same as we expected (may be, even better), the personnel was very friendly, the breakfast was very big and good! The transport to the centre of the city and to the train and bus stations was convenient for us to reach this city-points (places) in short time. Hotel Zvarac is good choice for travellers who like it cheap. Its clean and easy with good breakfast. Also is very easy and cheap to get to the center of the Bratislava from Zvarac. The hotel is very cheap and the persons kind and nice and the rooms are clean BUT we found lots of cocroaches and some other animals in the room which was not that amusing, the breakfast was good. Maybe you ll think that in this part of the city crime is a danger but it is not at all, the tram station is very cloes to the hotel and the people in bratislava are very kind and helpful and nice. A couple of problems. We ordered a "double bed" room and were actually given a "twin" and had to pay a further SKK 250 to get it changed. The hot water was not available from 2-4 August which was rather inconvenient and no compensation was offered. There was also quite noisy building work going on next door. The Zvarac is a good but basic hotel in a rather run-down part of the city. Getting into the city is easy though as a tram stop is nearby. I wouldn't like to walk around the vicinity in the dark though. The hotel is good value for money if your not looking for anything luxurious and the staff are friendly and helpful. A good choice was the price and facilities. Being with a car in Bratislava, we hadn't any problems to get to the centre. Maybe the knowledge of English or German of some staff at the reception desk was a problem, but we could handle it, because we could help us with Slovene, but I think it's quite a difficulty, if someone speaks only one foreign language. Tips about the city - Bratislava it's nice and not to big - so you can see everything in a short time. And I felt very secure in the city, what I think is very important. (<< Back to Hotel Zvarac)

The hotel was very much as I expected especially after reading the feedback from other guests. The price of the single room occupancy is very good when you compare to other hotels in Bratislava. It has easy access to the city by tram which is cheap, fast and reliable. The outside of the hotel is not very pretty but why should that matter. The rooms were clean, parking place for the car with cameras; the personnel very frendly, breakfast tasty. The furniture at the rooms was worn, the corridors, doors and windows should be renovated. The hotel was even better than it had described. The receptionist was kind, and the administration was fast and easy. The rooms were simple, but they were clean, and we had got towels and soap. The room included a TV with cable programs. Of course every room had shower and toilet. This hotel is a good choice for travellers who don't want to spend much money, but they wouldn't like sleep in a noisy hostel. The downtown is about 3/4 hours from the hotel on foot. The desciption of the hotel fitted exactly; and the breakfast was, in itself, a very nice surprise! The best we have ever had in an hotel. I would, by all means, recommend this hotel to people who have no need for a luxury accomodation. Room, bed, toilet and showers are clean, and the staff is friendly and correct. Their service and standard of the hotel was good and it was clean too. It didn't look good from the outside and it didn't tell it was a hotel either from the outside. We felt it was an old buildning from the communist time. But efforts was made inside espacially in the room to wash away the communist stamp. We are satisfied with the hotel and staff.
