Location very good, cleaniness ok, but the overall "infrastructure" of the room was not satisfying for the price, there were 3 beds in the room, all very old, window insulation as well. No breakfast in this hostel. (<< Back to Hyde Park Hostel)

Hyde Park Hostel was nice. The room was big (It's originally for 4 persons I think), clean, near the sightseeing places and the man in-charge was polite and was willing to answer our questions. He showed us his lovely daughter and gave us a warm welcome. In general, the experience was good and value for money. But there's one mark-deducting point was that the plastic curtain was broken and it could not cover up the whole window, so the privacy of the guest was affected. (<< Back to Hyde Park Hostel)

I can recommend to everybody the Hyde Park Hostel, it has great location (city center, close to everything what you need), the staff was really nice and helpful, room was clean and it looked like a hotel room, not like a hostel room;), I had a double room (single occupancy) with bathroom, tv, electric kettle, and even with fan! - which was great because during my stay in Bratislava wether was very hot. As a slightly disabled senior citizen, I found the hostel welcoming, clean and reasonably priced. The manager went out of his way to accommodate my little extra needs and was a great help. Crash Hostel was a nice experience in every way. However, I realize this won't work out in the future as well as it did for us. We were searching for a double with private bath, and when you're really up and running, with lots of people staying there, a room like we got (5 bed dorm, private bath), won't be available as a double. Location, cleanliness, bathroom facilities, were all very nice.

Crash Hostel is very nice, the room and the bathroom were clean, we had everything, we needed. Several sights are in the near, however I would not recommend this Hostel for families with small children, because it is located between several pubs, and the trams also run between the building. For us it was no problem.

About CRASH hostel :
a) very good location in the center of the town near pubs, restaurants, shops, tramwaystop and old town.
b) very clean and big bedroom with modern bathroom
c) not noisy in a nice courtyard ( other part of the hostel )

I think this hostel as its quality is too expensive. Due to this hostel is just on the main street and lots of trams on it, I suggest this hostel should change their windows to make customer have better quality of sleep. On this two days when we stayed in this hostel, we slept after tram stop and wake up when tram start, even when we close windows. But the location is not bad and also owner is nice. The room was tiny. There was nowhere to store clothes. The shower only ran intermittently. There was no kitchen (we booked because there was meant to be a kitchen). We couldn't control the heating and it was boiling hot.

The description was just as it was in real, even better, as the Hostel was situated even closer to the tram stop than explained (you just need to turn and you enter a gate where the hostel is situated). Everything explained on the website concerning the location, cleanliness and quality was accurate. We were happy to meet the manager of the hostel who was VERY kind, nice, friendly and helpful :) He answered all the hundreds of my silly questions and still liked me :) And the standard of the place where we slept was even better than we thought.
It was rather quite, surprisingly quiet if you consider the fact how busy Obchodna street is. We had even unnumarate number of TV-sat channels, which we didn't watch much as we enjoyed walking in the city ;) but just in case, some people wished to watch some TV in a cosy place - it's all there. Plus, the heating so efficient that sometimes it was tough to live the place for the frosty winter weather :) The place was very clean and was equipped with anything needed, including a bath tube - a pleasant surprise!
The location was ideal, a few minutes by tramway from the Central Railway Station, a few minutes walk for the begging of the old town (tramway also available), really in the centre of Bratislava with an easy access everywhere needed. There were little signs of thoughtful attitude towards the newcomers - sachets of tea and coffee.
