A nice, small design hotel located well, not too loud sourrounding but in the centre more or less, very clean, good quality (although the breakfast could be enriched by a variety of (fresh) cakes), great view from the terrasse, although a pity that we couldn't either enjoy the whirlpool but the fascinating view!

Mama's Design & Boutique Hotel is a small four-star boutique hotel in a quiet residential neighbourhood near the Bratislava city centre.

All rooms offer free wireless internet connection, individually controlled air-conditioning units, TV-based entertainment system, and special soundproofing. Room facilities include a mini bar, digital safe, iron with ironing board, hairdryer and a 37'' plasma TV with film rental and PayTV.

Superior Rooms are larger and offer a sofa with an optional extra bed.

The newly built hotel was designed by the Slovak design studio Carduelis. Rooms feature custom made bamboo furniture, beds with lit headboards with onyx stone, marble bathrooms, hardwood floors and other refined furnishings.

On three floors Mama's offers 9 Executive Rooms and six larger Superior Rooms with large terraces. The hotel features a 6 metre counter-current swimming pool and a fitness centre. There is a seasonal roof-top terrace with city views.

The hotel restaurant is a Sushi bar, but also serves international cuisine. The hotel serves an extensive selection of Slovak wines featured at the National Salon of Wines.

Hotel Mama's is located about 15 minutes walk from the pedestrian zone of the Old Town.

Tram tunnel under the castle hill is undergoing reconstruction until September 2010 (estimated). Changes to the tram service include closing of the lines no. 11 and no. 14. Tram no. 16 replaces these lines with the service from Komisarky (Raca district) via city centre (Obchodna, SNP square and Kamenne square) to Astronomicka (Ruzinov). See the detailed timetable. Trams no. 1, 5 and 9 are re-routed via SNP square, Ludovit Stur square and the Danube embankment.

Reconstruction of tram tracks near Trnavske Myto affects tram lines no. 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 14. Bus lines no. X6 and X14 service the affected stops.

From Airport: Take bus no. 61 to Hlavna stanica stop - terminus (Main Train Station). (30 minutes)

From Main Train Station: Take trolleybus no. 210 and get off at Soltesovej stop (fifth stop). Turn right to Soltesovej street and walk for about 50 meters and then turn right into Chorvatska street. Mama´s Design & Boutique Hotel is no your left in the building no. 2.

From Bus Station:
Take trolleybus no. 210 and get off at second stop. Cross the street, turn left walk 20 metres and then turn into Luzicka street. Walk for about 50 metres and you are now at Chorvatska street. Mama´s Design & Boutique Hotel is in the building no. 2 (10 minutes).

From Berg border crossing:
Take route E58 (Viedenska road) and drive straight towards overpass. Pass above Einsteinova street and follow Viedenska cesta. Continue under the bridge (Novy most - New Bridge) along with Danube river bank, then turn left and cross the Danube using Stary most (Old Bridge). After you cross this bridge, turn right on the traffic lights to the Dostojevskeho rad. Continue straight until Karadzicova street and on fourth traffic lights turn left to Polna street. Take turn right right to Moskovska street, then again right to Chorvatska street, Mama´s Design & Boutique Hotel is on your left.

From highway D61:
Pass IKEA and Hypernova shopping malls and follow the "centrum" (city center) traffic signs. Drive straight towards Pristavny most (Port bridge), below the overpass to the roundabout. Follow the "centrum" sign. You are now on Pristavna street. Drive straight down the street, continue straight to the Landererova street. In the end of Landererova street turn to the right to Dostojevskeho rad. Continue straight until Karadzicova street and on third traffic lights turn left to Polna street. Take turn right right to Moskovska street, then again right to Chorvatska street, Mama´s Design & Boutique Hotel is on your left.

Very good overall - but jacuzzi not ready for use (although it was advertised that it was available). Check-in was rather slow.
