Bratislava in March

As Easter draws close Bratislava receives more and more sunshine. The clock moves forward to Daylight Savings Time in late March (Sunday, March 28, 2010).

Weather
Spring begins in March and the month can range from pretty cold to early summer weather.

Events
International student film festival Early Melons takes place on March 17-20, 2010.

The annual Easter Markets in the Main Square begin on March 22.

The Bratislava City Marathon is getting bigger every year - an event where everyone from children to professional runners can celebrate the spring. In 2010 the Marathon takes place March 26-28.

Eurovea, Bratislava's newly built riverside quarter with residences, offices and the Pribina Gallery shopping mall opens to the public on March 26, 2010, bringing Bratislava's (and Slovakia's) first Burger King.

Exhibitions
New Frontiers introduces young Slovak and Austrian architecture, urban planning and art at the designfactory on Bottova. The exhibition runs from March 11 to March 28, 2010.

An exhibition on Renaissance, presenting the history of Slovak visual arts, takes place at the Slovak National Gallery, Esterhazy Palace in Nam. Ludovita Stura until March 28, 2010 (open daily from 10 am to 5:30 pm, except Mondays).
