Bratislava in November

November in Bratislava is the Month of Photography, with numerous exhibits from Slovak and international photographer around the city.

The Christmas Markets, growing more popular every year, start in late November with the lighting of the Christmas tree and run through December 22 (see info on Bratislava in December). Congenial atmosphere fueled by mulled wine and honey wine. Clusters of locals and visitors eating lokse (potato crepes) or klobasy (grilled sausages). There are daily music performances. Markets now take place in two nearby squares (Hviezdoslavovo and the Main Square).

Dining
The season for goose feasts is still on. You can try Slovak goose specialties at many Bratislava restaurants but the nearby village of Chorvatsky Grob is the hottest destination with several family restaurants specialised in geese.
