The information re the hotel and how to reach it was correct and we found it to be an extremely central place to stay. The quality of the breakfast was excellent, the convenience of a secure undercover garage was much appreciated as we were travelling with ski equipment etc, but we were surprised and a little disappointed as the "ordinariness" of the rooms although they were comfortable, clean and met our requirements. Taking into account the excellent location we had expected a higher quality hotel for the price but would definitely recommend the place to other prospective guests. (I could add that the male front desk clerk was efficient but quite arrogant upon check-in but the female clerk on check-out was extremely helpful and full of information. Good - good position; reasonable value; modern

It was not so easy to understand from the web site that one pays extra for services like swimming pool and parking, that is not the "usual way" as I have experienced. We experienced the hotel in a positive way. What I find most important is service, and friendliness. The lady who was in the reception when we came at midnight was not the best example but the piccolo, the receptionist the following day and the lady at the swimming pool were, which we are very gratetful for! The hotel was lovely and lived up to expectations. The staff was very nice and we were all very pleased and would recommend the Danube to anyone going to Bratislava.The location was good and we had a lovely meal sitting outside looking up at the castle in the evening. The Hotel was as described, but not the room. Whereas I realise that it was an offer of 120€ per night. This price for a 4 star would be acceptable. However I was stuck in a very small room which looked onto back of the hotel.The hotel was not busy and I could have been offered a better room without problem.
