Pension Vilo is a small family-run pension located in the quiet leafy neigbourhood above the Bratislava Castle hill. The hilly area consists of family houses and gardens and several consulates and therefore the pension is suitable for people who are looking for a quiet environment. The pension has four double rooms and three triple rooms, each room has its own bathroom with shower and toilet. The rooms are furnished simply, but are tidy and cosy. All rooms are non-smoking. The pension does not offer breakfast but guests may use the shared large furnished kitchen to self-cater. There is a large terrace and balcony, garden with grill and also a table tennis table available to guests. The pension is located in a two storey building without an elevator and is thus not suitable for persons with disabilities and families with small children.

It was also convenient that the proprietor offers a lift to the airport at a reasonable price (15 euros). Incidentally this is what a taxi driver charged us to travel about a mile from Stanica Hlava to the pension saying it was a fixed charge.3

It was a very good located pension, in a quiet and safe area, it was very clean and we had enough space to feel good and comfortable. We would like to say many thanks to the owner of the pension as he made our stay great and we were very happy to have a parking space inside the courtyard of the pension.3

Bratislava was our first stop. The rooms, were great, the bathrooms, also great. The kitchen was a little bit to small, and the refrigerator not that clean. The problem was the hot weather outside so we needed the fridge to store our food. But over all we are very pleased about pension Vilo. If there will another trip to Bratislava for us we might stay there too.3

There was no toilet paper in the bathroom, very, very old towels...I would say that Vilo is more like a hostel The location is ok and what is very positive is that it has parking.3

Quiet location surrounded with family houses just enough from city center for short walk. Pension is clean and owner very friendly. Room is small but usable; kitchen, own bathroom/toilet and open space on common terrace with tables and chairs - great plus. Parking place on site is great benefit. Overall value +4 (5 is greatest value) - for that price it can not be found a better accommodation in any larger city around the world.3
