Safe location. Basic but clean room. Good value for money. In a few words exactly what we were expecting. the only thing missing in the description was that the big slope one needs to walk in order to get back to the hotel from the city (but it was referred in one of the customers' comments).

Pension Vilo is a small family-run pension located in the quiet leafy neigbourhood above the Bratislava Castle hill. The hilly area consists of family houses and gardens and several consulates and therefore the pension is suitable for people who are looking for a quiet environment.

The pension has four double rooms and three triple rooms, each room has its own bathroom with shower and toilet. The rooms are furnished simply, but are tidy and cosy. All rooms are non-smoking.

The pension does not offer breakfast but guests may use the shared large furnished kitchen to self-cater. There is a large terrace and balcony, garden with grill and also a table tennis table available to guests.

The pension is located in a two storey building without an elevator and is thus not suitable for persons with disabilities and families with small children.

Breakfast is not included in the price listed.

To get there by public transport:
From Airport take bus no. 61, get off at Karpatska stop. Walk back about 20 meters to busy intersection and then turn left and walk straight to the trolleybus stop. Take the trolleybus no. 203 Get off at Budkova stop. Walk back and turn left to Sulekova street. Continue down the Sulekova street and turn right to Holubyho street. Pension Vilo is on your left.(55 minutes)

From Main train station take bus no. 93 and get off at Hodzovo square stop. Cross the street to a large globe-like fountain and continue to the trolleybus stop. Take trolleybus no. 203 or 207 and get off at Budkova stop. Walk back and turn left to Sulekova street. Continue down the Sulekova street and turn right to Holubyho street. Pension Vilo is on your left. (20 minutes)

From Bus station take trolleybus no. 208, get off at Hodzovo square and change for trolleybus no. 203 or 207. Take trolleybus no. 203 or 207 and get off at Budkova stop. The Pension Vilo was excellent and run by a very decent family who were very kind and helpful to us. I would have nothing but the highest praise for them and will stay there again.

Let us say few words about Pension Vilo. Our staying there was a real pleasure. Pension Vilo is very clean, has all the facilities you would expect from low cost accomodation: kitchen facility (free cofee+tea) garden facility. The owner is very friendly and gives the best service he can. The Pension was as even better than described and expected. Recommended to everyone - you will enjoy staying there.

Pension Vilo was approximately as described. It's not so far
from the city center, and it's clean. The only thing missing in the
description is that there is a huge slope to get to the pension!! So
it's not suitable for disabled persons... Otherwise, it's suitable for backpackers...

The accommodation was excellent. I think it is suitable for any kind of travellers. The area is very quiet and nice and the owner of Pension Vilo is very friendly.

Pension Vilo is a very nice family-run pension. It is clean and it is located downtown, so anyone can reach the historical centre without a car or public transport. It's suitable for low-budget-travelers who want to have a comfortable, clean room near to the centre.
