Prices and Hotel Rates FAQ
1. Are the prices at www.BratislavaHotels.com the same as offered by hotel reception or apartment owners? The hotel and apartment accommodation prices listed at www.BratislavaHotels.com are provided directly by the hotel, apartment owner or partner agency offering the best price. The prices are the same or lower than offered directly by hotel reception or apartment owner. www.BratislavaHotels.com guarantees Best Web Rates on all hotels and other accommodation facilities. Hotels and partner agencies are bound by contract to offer their best available internet rates through our website. 2. Are the prices listed per room or per person? For hotels, unless explicitly stated otherwise, the prices listed at www.BratislavaHotels.com are per room per night. For self-catering apartments, the prices listed are for the whole apartment per night, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Prices for hostel dorm beds are listed per person per night. Prices for private rooms (doubles, triples, quads, etc.) are listed per room per night. 3. Do the prices listed include breakfast, taxes and fees? Each hotel page states whether the prices listed include breakfast. If breakfast is not included, the hotel page states whether breakfast can be purchased at the hotel.
Self-catering apartments do not serve breakfast. All prices listed contain the Slovak value-added tax (VAT) of 19%. Prices listed in the immediate on-line booking process state whether they contain the tax. Some hotel prices listed may not include the mandatory Bratislava City Fee. All hotels are required to charge a fee of SKK 30 (EUR 0.95) per person per night for adults (the first and last day of the stay are counted as one day. Children under the age of 15 do not pay the city fee. Example: The city fee for one adult for one night is SKK 30 (EUR 0.95), for two nights the fee is also SKK 30 (EUR 0.95) (as the first and the last night of the stay count as one night for fee purposes). The city fee for one adult for three nights is SKK 60 (EUR 1.89). For two adults (double room), the city fee for one night is SKK 60 (EUR 1.89), for two nights the fee is also SKK 60 (EUR 1.89) (as the first and the last night of the stay count as one night for fee purposes). The city fee for two adults for three nights is SKK 120 (EUR 3.78). 4. Are the prices listed in currencies other than the Slovak crown (SKK) accurate? For hotels that publish binding rates in Slovak crowns, the prices listed in brackets using the currency exchange feature for USD, EUR, GBP, PLN, CZK and HUF are converted automatically from SKK prices using the daily reference exchange rate announced by the National Bank of Slovakia. Some hotels publish their binding rates in EUR. For these we show the Slovak crown conversion in brackets The actual exchange rate at the time of your stay may be slightly higher or lower, depending on exchange rate developments, in this case the primary price listed in SKK or EUR is binding. 5. Are the prices guaranteed after a booking is requested? The hotel or partner agency will state the exact guaranteed price for the stay in its e-mail offer. Once the reservation is confirmed by the guest and conditions of the request are met, the prices are guaranteed. The prices are not guaranteed until the reservation is confirmed by you to the accommodation provider in accordance with the conditions specified in their offer. 6. Are the available discounts included in the price? The prices listed on www.BratislavaHotels.com do not reflect the additional discounts offered, unless stated otherwise. Hotels and partner agencies will reflect the applicable discounts in their e-mail offer. 7. Which nights of the week are considered weekend nights for hotels offering discounted prices on weekends? Unless indicated otherwise, weekend nights are the following three nights: from Friday to Saturday, Saturday to Sunday and Sunday to Monday.
