Radisson Blu Carlton is a traditional top-class hotel recently reconstructed by a chain operator. It is one of the poshest hotels in the city in one of its primest locations, in the middle of the picturesque Old Town. Each room in Radisson Blu Carlton contains a separate air conditioning unit, electronic safe, internet access, satellite TV and Pay TV with video on demand, hair dryer and a trouser press. In addition, Business rooms offer Nespresso Coffee machine and coffee, ironing board with an iron, upgraded bathroom amenities, daily newspapers, turn-down service and breakfast already included in the price. Business rooms are also larger than Standard rooms. Radisson Blu Carlton is less than a minute far from the Slovak National Theater Opera House, and only about a minute far from the Concert Hall of the Slovak Philharmonic. The hotel is in a very safe area with restaurants, cafeterias and cake shops nearby. It is accessible by public transport, and most of Bratislava's historical attractions are located within walking distance. Many businesses (especially international) are also located in the downtown of Bratislava and are thus in walking distance from the hotel. Standard rooms are 26 sq. metres in size (approx. 280 sq. feet), Business rooms are 35 sq. metres in size (approx. 376 sq. feet) and Suites measure 40 sq. metres (approx. 430 sq. feet). The Hotel's previous name was Radisson SAS Carlton.

Driving directions for Hotel Radisson Blu Carlton:From Berg border crossing: Take route E58 (Viedenska road) until the exit to E75 (Einsteinova street). Follow Einsteinova street. Continue until exit to the Novy most - New Bridge and use it to cross the Danube. Keep to the right and exit the bridge using first exit. Pass under the bridge, on the traffic lights turn to the left (almost 360 degrees) and continue along Danube river bank. Pass under the bridge once again and continue on Razusovo nabrezie (Razus embankment) until second traffic lights. Turn to the left, pass Ludovit Stur statue and continue straight. Hotel Radisson SAS Carlton underground garage is directly in front of you. From highway D61: Pass IKEA and Hypernova shopping malls and follow the "centrum" (city center) traffic signs. Drive straight towards Pristavny most (Port bridge), below the overpass to the roundabout. Follow the "centrum" sign. You are now on Pristavna street. Drive straight down the street, continue straight to the Landererova street. In the end of Landererova street turn to the left to Dostojevskeho rad. Pass the traffic lights and continue on Vajanskeho nabrezie (Vajansky embankment). On next traffic light turn right pass Ludovit Stur statue and continue straight. Hotel Radisson SAS Carlton underground garage is directly in front of you.

The hotel is very clean, but we thought the bedspreads and linens were the same as when we stayed in 2006 and a bit tired looking. Still the value is good because of the excellent location.3
