Tatra is a traditional downtown business hotel, which has been in operation since 1930. All rooms have been refurbished as of October 2009. The hotel now offers 203 rooms.

Hotel Tatra offers very comfortable, modern accommodation and is extremely convenient to Bratislava's nightlife. It has been refurbished quite recently and most rooms are now air-conditioned and equipped with smoke detectors. This makes Tatra an excellent value, especially in the view of its location.

Wi-Fi internet access and underground garage, relax centre as well as several different congress and conference rooms are available to hotel guests.

Tram tunnel under the castle hill is undergoing reconstruction until September 2010 (estimated). Changes to the tram service include closing of the lines no. 11 and no. 14. Tram no. 16 replaces these lines with the service from Komisarky (Raca district) via city centre (Obchodna, SNP square and Kamenne square) to Astronomicka (Ruzinov). See the detailed timetable. Trams no. 1, 5 and 9 are re-routed via SNP square, Ludovit Stur square and the Danube embankment.

Reconstruction of tram tracks near Trnavske Myto affects tram lines no. 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 14. Bus lines no. X6 and X14 service the affected stops.

These changes affect properties serviced by trams no. 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 14 listed at Bratislava Hotels website.

I expected a bit more from a 4 star location. I don't have specific critique, just it seemed a bit lackluster.

The stay in your hotel was really OK. The hotel was actually a bit better than expected from the description on the website.
From only one night not a relly representative feedback but:
- Room was warm and nice.
- very clean
- staff was kind
Recommendation - please inform about porn TV channels especially for the families with minors.

I was a bit unsatisfied with the breakfast and the fact that the spa center was closed over Easter. Unfortunately the English knowledge at the reception desk was not sufficient for a communication.

I was already there in 2007 and enjoyed my stay. However, a few comments should be done: 1) Last time in 2007 I had a larger room; 2)
The air-conditioning system carries around smoke from other rooms-it would be nice to avoid this for non smokers, as we are... 3) The same applies to the restaurant, since the smoking area is too close and in fact has to be crossed by non smokers to enter the non-smoking area.
