An American corporation sent a team from its Indian outsourcing operation on short notice to be trained in a deal with the Bratislava office of a major international IT consultancy. The advance team, a project manager specialised in location scouting arrived only a few days ahead of other team members. The group consisted of a few managers and about 20 junior staff members. Many of them had never travelled abroad. The project manager was not familiar with the Slovak hospitality market. They arrived at our office not clearly announced. Within less than 24 hours we were on our way to view a collection of central apartments from three different owners. After further discussion the partner felt they could compromise on the number of bedrooms location and overall luxury if they could all be together in one place. The next day we visited a local aparthotel facility near the centre of Bratislava aimed at students and less demanding corporate clientele. We assisted three days of negotiations on conditions with the building management and were on call as the staff moved into their residence. A reference from the project manager in charge of location scouting is available.
A West European supplier to a major automotive factory came to scout for apartments for their engineers. Within a day we set up visits to three locations: apartment residences in the broader centre and Petrzalka, including one not even yet open to the public. Within less than two months the expat staff took up their residence at comfortable apartments convenient to the Volkswagen factory in Devinska Nova Ves, choosing dish washers over a small outdoor pool at one of the other localities.
A major German telecommunications firm wanted a conference at short notice in early 2010. We were able to offer three reasonable options within hours of first inquiry. We helped negotiate minute details of the client's meeting, provided airport transportation through one of our trusted partners. We worked very closely with hotel staff, putting together a custom package of meeting rooms and getting hold of all the equipment required (the "moderation suitcase" requested was not on this major four-star chain hotel's standard meeting offer). The event went very well and a reference is available at this client's headquarters if necessary.
A family of five decided on a Friday afternoon to spend a night in Bratislava on Saturday, visiting the annual wine festival in Raca, a part of Bratislava on the slopes of the Small Carpathian mountains. Within a half hour we found an apartment for the client - a comfortable two-bedroom at Racianska, along the way to Raca. We helped negotiate a discount (no charge for the 8-year old).
